Considering his performance late in the season and having a healthy JJ McCarthy means they may not need him again. It will really depend on how McCarthy does this season.
I think franchise tag is the move. Give him a year n see how he does/ if McCarthy is better. Darnold probably wouldn’t be too stoked on it tho, and if he does do well, he might not want to stick around after franchise tag is no longer an option, so idk. Admittedly tho, I kinda want him tagged so the raiders don’t get any ideas about signing him.
