The tag line for this movie is, family is who you make it. The story rolls out in really predictable ways and you will be able to see major story events coming.

With that said, Justin Timberlake does a fantastic job as a lowlife ex-con, Palmer, who wants to do better and Rider Allan is great as a little kid just trying to get by in a world of shit. Who had no one on his side until he met Palmer. Watching the Timberlake and Allan characters bond is really great. These two make the movie worth it.

Juno Temple stars as the kid’s mother who has no business raising a kid.

I haven’t seen much Timberlake stuff, but i will be checking out more now.
