I often joked that my old dog was secretly a cat. Hanging out on high banisters, playing with my yarn, purring when I pet her (it was a low growl, but if I stopped petting she’d swat at me to continue, then resumed the low growl/purr.) I could almost swear she was a cat in a dog costume all along.
