Perfect usecase for dot matrix printers then. I print max once a year, good to know I have something that works
For reliability, of course. I can always whip out my OKI, whenever the other printers has issues. 100% of the time it works every time.

It is a problem that can be solved, but I doubt that a robot vacuum is the ideal tool for it
I have a Roborock and hard wood floors. It gets everything. There’s nothing left, and it manages to go through the room systematically and reliably. It gets everything even on quiet or low, one pass is enough.
Yes. Sounds like you need a better robot vacuum. Mine handles it perfectly, and it was midrange 1.5 years ago.
One of the few things that always make me cry. I can’t even think of the dogs love, the music, the entire thing without choking up or crying.

3·18 days agoWhen I was a kid and had my first computer, I found that red switch. I did it when my computer was running, and then there was some smoke. Fortunately, it was a really cheap PC

2·19 days agoCool paper. This makes me want to try to experiment with this. I have a 8GB VRAM card and 32GB DDR4.
So not ideal, currently I just pay for inference. Trying to get a model to punch above its weight would be kinda interesting to experiment with.

3·19 days agoI am trying to fully understand this. Can you please elaborate further? Are you thinking about a heuristic based harness?
No, unless you want to play GTA 6 before it gets to PC.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•People say they will do anything for their children. It is easy to do grand gestures, but hard to keep healthy and alive for them. Will you eat better? Exercise? Sleep more?
4·20 days agoJudgemental was not my intention. Everyone has their own set of circumstances. The point is that many including myself should take better care of ourselves for our children, that is one of the better things we can do for our children. I also have a chronic illness that limits my ability, but I am not saying that our circumstances are the same.
You getting to the point of being “stable” as you said, IS taking care of yourself. That is love towards your family and yourself. That is doing everything you can for your children and family!
I could have added some more context in the description to clarify, sorry about that.

5·20 days agoCongratulations on the weight loss, I have also struggled with weight and am happy to say that I have lost about the same, and it feels a lot better. It is hard, but keep going until you are at a healthy weight!

Something is better than nothing. “I could never be a vegetarian/vegan because of bacon” “Ok, then eat vegetarian AND also eat bacon then?”

More professional Bosch tools (Blue ones) for personal use. Maaaaybe I can justify a new drill, drillbits and a multicutter. Bosch professional tools are a true pleasure to use. I cant go back to cheaper consumer grade tools.
RTX 3090 for local LLM. I just pay for european hosted inference instead.
