While the Linux Drive CLI has been out for a bit, this announcement is specific to the app.

When did you last update the OS?
Edit: Before doing a reinstall, I’d make a new user account to see if it’s happening there first. Reinstalls are a last resort as there’s no going back with it.
Based on some quick research into this, the windows are likely jumping sizes because of something like a stuck key, a shortcut, the hot‑corner, the graphics driver, or the compositor being triggered unintentionally. I’d say you should first test for any stuck keys that could be the cause (IE: Super, Alt + F10/Space) with xev – multiple events = sticky key. Or you could just plug in an external keyboard and if it stops, the built‑in keyboard is at fault.
If stuck keys aren’t the issue, try turning off hot corners + window tiling in the settings, then restart the device. If it’s still happening after this, checking that you’re using the correct graphics driver would be the move. You can run inxi -Gx to adjust the driver.
If none of this fixes the issue, peep the recent updates in /var/log/apt/history.log for any packages which were recently updated that could cause the problem. You could also make a fresh user account to see if the problem is system‑wide or confined to your config. Once you find and correct the trigger, the flickering and whatnot will stop, you just have to figure out what’s causing it.
Nearly classic these days, since it’s a wrap for most colleges next week.
Some MVNO’s for Verizon include Visible, US Mobile (can also be setup with AT&T), Straight Talk, and Boom! Mobile. For AT&T there’s Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, and Consumer Cellular.
While still a T-Mobile MVNO, Mint Mobile is the last carrier I know of you can setup without your real name, plus their rates are pretty reasonable. Additionally, having a Mint plan while also using JMP Chat is a relatively easy approach to have pretty solid privacy on mobile. Data via Mint and talk/text via JMP + Signal segregates your data use from talk/text. JMP encrypts everything on their and too, and they’re based in Canada. Meaning you’ll get stronger user consent requirements for marketing BS and any US request for the user data is more complicated, so it will take longer than for a US based company.
They way Andy explained it in an interview with Techlore (I think?) was that the large array of different file systems across the distro’s makes it a difficult task. He said it in such a way that I felt he was basically saying to their time is better spent elsewhere, so it’s probably smart to write it off. But hey, the browser interface is solid on FF, so at least there’s that lol

60·1 year agoThat emoji is pretty versatile, from what I’ve seen it can resemble feeling melancholy, dead inside, exhausted, or a sarcastic “I’m fine”. But as with most emoji’s, it’s all about context clues to fully understand why it was chosen.

ADHD@lemmy.world•Concerta vs Adderall: Which One Should I Take?English
102·1 year agoThey are quite different molecularly, Concerta is extended release methylphenidate (instant release is Ritalin) while Adderall is instant release dextroamphetamine and amphetamine. But there’s also extended release Adderall too. All in all, it’ll come down to your specific neurobiology regarding the best treatment option. However, if appetite suppression is a concern for you, using an instant release med will decrease the amount of time the med is active, which should reduce the duration of any appetite suppression.

As someone with a few autoimmune disorders, the most effective way to assess a doctor is to see if they talk with you or at you. If they talk at you during the first appointment, it’s best to cut em loose and keep looking until you find one who talks with you. This, along with having a decent knowledge base of the topic at hand, prevents you from having a power tripping M.D. and also makes getting proper medical attention much easier!
