When they rehabilitated his image for the Apprentice Trump was in a run down office at the end of his career. The producers commented how badly the place stunk and how most of the lights were either flickering or out. They spent half a million dollars just fixing it up to make it presentable for the show.

ID politics is a common political accusation that conservatives groups like to cry about. Unfortunately for them, they are the worst about ID politics using a number of wedge issues like abortion and of course their rural religious obsession to define their voting platform. I think a lot of it has to do with our drinking culture. It has long been okay to get women drunk to sleep with them or purposely go out to the bar to take a intoxicated woman home. If alcohol is involved they just don’t want to deal with it.
