2·23 days agoCrichton’s The Andromeda Strain and Sphere were one of his first books I ever read, and while it has been couple of decades since I read them, I loved reading both of them.
Now that you have mentioned them, I want to go back and read them again.

2·1 month agoYeah, didn’t realise it has finished. I think I read first 3-4 books on Kindle. Will get the physical copies when I am done with DCC.

4·1 month agoI don’t really track webnovels that I read, just went through the novel’s list on the wuxiaworld.com (the site where I read mostly, they officially license their novels so their translations are generally better from other sites) and mentioning the ones I remember as the ones I enjoyed the most. Will share others when/if I recall them.
Chinese (Mostly cultivation):
- Coiling Dragon: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/coiling-dragon
- Desolate Era: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/desolate-era
- I Shall Seal the Heavens: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/i-shall-seal-the-heavens
- A Will Eternal (a bit lighthearted from others) - https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/a-will-eternal
- Warlock of the Magus World (Closer to litRPG than cultivation): https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/warlock-of-the-magus-world
- Unintended Immortality (A cozy novel, a cultivator and a cat traveling the world for experience): https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/unintended-immortality
Korean (Mostly litRPG):
- Solo Leveling
- The Second Coming of Gluttony: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/the-second-coming-of-gluttony
- SSS Class Revival Hunter (it’s better than the name suggests): https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/sss-class-revival-hunter
- A Villain’s Will to Survive: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/a-villains-will-to-survive
Haven’t read many English webnovels, at least not that stood out. Dropped Wandering Inn. Worm was pretty good but I changed phone, and took a break and then couldn’t find where I was. These days hoping for a e-book before restarting that.
Let me know if you have any recommendations.

2·1 month agocoming back when a new book is out in a series and having that feeling of what the fuck was going on again for a while.
lol, that’s a very common feeling for me. I don’t have a great memory and used to re-read whole series when new book will come out. Don’t have that much time now. So try to read whole series or where books are coming out every year or so, that keeps the memory fresh enough.

2·1 month agoYeah, I am not afraid that there isn’t enough to read, I am afraid it won’t end any time soon 😀
Robert Jordan burned me real bad, and Jim Butcher didn’t help much, so I try not to start series that aren’t finished. There are always exceptions though.

5·1 month agoOh, I loved it.
I have mentioned this before that I read lots of webnovels, cultivation, litRPG and all that. DCC is my first “proper” published book in the genre (Well second if you count Cradle series by Will Wight, but I think it was only self-published on Kindle). It’s everything I love, but not bound by the author worrying about completing daily word-count, and something that’s gone through a proper editing phase (I think).
How are you liking the Eisenhorn trilogy? I got the omnibus and going to start it soon (once I am done with Sword of Destiny and the final The Black Magician’s book)
