A worker uncertain of their skill or value is much more likely to do whatever they want, and at a lower salary.

My day to day responsibilities didn’t change. It’s almost like he begrudgingly admitted my skills advanced to the point where the company had to give me the promotion.

Exactly how he wanted it. A worker uncertain of their skill or value is much more likely to do whatever they want, and at a lower salary.
