She was safely relocated to some sagebrush afterwards. But definitely a bit of a scare having my fingers so close.

        Good for you! Relocating is always preferable to killing. We love in their ecosystem too and should try to coexist when possible.

        I’m a big believer in letting our insect friends survive… outside

            Exactly. Me and the spiders have an agreement too 😉 its nice to be able to keep my hands clean while they take care of the wet work around our house. Especially when you live in the woods like we do, all kinds of critters out here.

      I’ve found black windows 2 times, both times did not end well for the arachnid. I live in the city though.

        I try to relocate bugs whenever I can.

        Except the brown recluses I find occasionally. They’re kill on sight. I know that 99% of the time I’ll be able to move them no problem, but I ain’t risking it.
