Liberal platform: Carney pledges to cap non-permanent resident population at below 5% - iPolitics

For the most part, the Liberals are promising to double-down on immigration changes made during the past year after bringing in millions of newcomers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Proposed cap is a 5% non-permanent resident cap, and a cap of 1% annual population growth (416k). A 14% cut from last years numbers, a 53% increase over 2015.

    Its more then that though. We need more then just housed. We need more hospitals more schools.
