Announcements like this are the equivalent of police saying “everybody remain calm!”
They are the institution. It’s not like they’re ever going to say “Yeah, shit’s fucked, guys. Pull all your money out and invest in canned goods and ammunition.”
Canned goods and ammunition are still part of GDP. Maybe they are just saying the economy will shift from a consumer economy to a prepper economy.
No global recession does not mean ypur nation will not experience one.
It didn’t impact that small island inhabited only by penguins, so it’s not technically a “global” recession, ok?
