    I hate the schadenfreude journalism. I will never meet this guy, I don’t care how he feels any more than some random South Dakotan. The reason he’s relevant is his outsized impact on government and the country, tell me about that.

      Right. I don’t care much about his alignment or even that he’s come out as a Nazi. While it’s a huge red flag, I guess it’s his preference. The important parts are how he acts on those beliefs, who he hurts and how many, how his actions hurt our society

        Him publicly being a Nazi is an issue though because it emboldens other Nazis and makes them thing its more socially acceptable to be a Nazi.

        It used to be a big deal when a public figure got caught doing a Nazi salute. Public apology, condemnation of Nazism, donation to a holocaust victims charity or similar was expected. For him to do it and not even apologise or try to say it was something else and not be stripped of any roles as a result is a dangerous shift.
