I was wondering if it was possible to hide the posts that just sit at the top of the New sort and take up space that are timestamped in the future. In some cases I’ve just blocked communities that fill that space but I’m hoping there is a simpler way.
They tend to come from mis-configured KBIN servers, notably projectsegfau.lt and fedia.io, but no-one seems especially invested in fixing the problem at the ‘sending’ end. Ultimately, it’s a Lemmy issue, in that it just accepts the timestamp received, without any sanity checks, but the fix for that is currently ‘on-hold’.
EDIT. But to answer the question: No, I don’t think there’s any easy way to hide them. Block the community, or - if you like the Community and think other posters have a chance to get a word in - block the user.
Ah that makes more sense. I guess in the grand scheme of things here that would be rather low on the fix list. Thank you.
This is more of a support question, related to using Lemmy. Please see the sidebar for a list of communities that offer support. Removing under rule #3.
