Fruit, for example, or carrots (which convert it’s starches into sugars to avoid freezing.) Prior to modern food preservation and heavily processed foods, getting calories was hard enough on its own, so we’re primed to seek calorie rich food. We’ve evolved- technologically- to the point that’s no longer true, but our biology hasn’t caught up yet.
