Genuinely not the take I expected. I’m not religious, but was raised that way and recall a ton of lionization of Jesus as a fighter and defender more so than as just a dude. There were times they’d call him the lamb, but most of the time that was when he was getting crucified so it made sense (in hindsight) to show him that way.
