I get the involvement of France there, but don’t see how either would lead to the US speaking French. I could see a Canada situation with the purchase, as there would be more French speakers. But even there, UK had no involvement with that, as it was Napoleon’s focus on Europe that led him to sell the land to the US, so he could continue his conquests. The Revolutionary War wouldn’t have led to speaking French regardless of the outcome. UK wins, we’re still speaking English. We did win, and did not lead to us speaking French.
