It takes days, it takes up a bit of space and you need specialized equipment and space for safety. The only places I know it’s done have a shipyard for support. And I haven’t heard of civilian ships doing this either.

Divers, barges, winches, people. It takes days, it takes up a bit of space and you need specialized equipment and space for safety.
