A project aiming to restore habitats and support nature in the Forest of Bowland has been announced.

Bowland Connects, led by Ribble Rivers Trust, will also improve access to green spaces and support nearby communities, and the £250,000 in funding comes from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Hannah Lederer of Ribble Rivers Trust said: "Bowland is a special place for so many people, whether you live here, work the land, or come to enjoy the countryside.
