I don’t know anything about Kentucky except the fact they invented KFC.
Kentucky elects total scumbags. The kind of politicians that attack scientists, take bribes, cut taxes on the super-rich. Surveys show Kentucky love Trump. So I assume that Kentucky must be really bad place full of evil people.
I generally judge a place by the kind of politicians that they elect.
Wyoming is the most pro-Trump state in the US. I would never go there. I think the majority of them are very backward and violent people.
Maine elected Bernie Sanders. He is an honest man. So I really like Maine.
It’s hard not to read this as an indictment of all red states.
But yeah, let me counter with every state is large and has different areas, plus it’s the people that make something a nice place or not.
You could equally write a manifesto of hate against many things Florida. However I have a friend who moved there and he’s still a great person, as are his friends and neighbors. The politics of hate and corruption do not affect everyday life that much
