Owls like Nelson the white faced owl have traded in water resistant feathers for the ability to fly nearly silently. But that doesn’t mean that a good soaker bath isn’t appreciated.

We like to say that Nelson loves staring at himself like Narcissus and we catch him “looking at his reflection” often. But he will gladly interrupt his conversation with that stunning reflection for a deep bone-soaking shower in virtually any kind of weather.

My favorite part is the way he lifts his wings to make sure you get the pits.
