      They might get away with it because it really doesn’t look like Dolly. Hair, face, and boobs are all off. I guess AI tries to balance out and tone down her appearance.

      Dead people cannot sue for defamation. You cannot be held liable for defaming someone who is deceased.

        Wow. That’s an unpopular fact.

        Recording Law says:

        Courts have generally held that defamation exists to protect a living person’s current standing in the community, not the memory of someone who has already died, so once the person dies there is no living plaintiff who can suffer the reputational injury the tort is designed to remedy.
