Full title: The Ellora Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Maharashtra, India, famous for 34 rock-cut cave temples and monasteries carved straight out of solid basalt cliffs between the 6th and 10th centuries CE.

We were on the back of an amazing - but tiring - wedding visit, from N.Z. and the teens had kinda had enough, tragically…
This place is absolutely amazing. We went here many years ago, as well as to the Ajanta Caves also in Maharashtra. Both sites are in my top 10 of amazing cultural sites - really worth a visit, and I think they are not as well known as they deserve.
