I’ve never worked in the performing arts industry so I am not sure how I would feel. It would probably depend on how proud of my work/performance I was feeling in the moment
I think my reaction would definitely be different to some sports team banner vs holding up a flag of some country
And would also definitely be different if the country flag was referencing an ongoing conflict that the nation I resided in was participating in or instigating, versus some arbitrary-to-me flag like in reference to that person’s ancestral homeland or something
