Canada needs to expand its military defenses and allow for an armed populace trained for insurgency. The gun bans of the last 6 needs to be done away with and allow for specialized units that are trained for urban and rural warfare against an occupying force, and who they are is top secret.

It isn’t the gotcha you think it is. To get a handgun you absolutely need to know how to use it properly (at least they did before the handgun freeze), and most handgun shooters are better shots than your average Canadian police officer. If anything I would say many cops shouldn’t be walking around with a badge and a gun, but many do, and I have heard of accidental discharges from them so stupid that it is amazing they only get a stern talking to. If I had an accidental discharge even close to what they did I would go to jail for years and be fucked for life.

The gun ban shit is stupid, and expensive and pointless. The licensing scheme was all that was needed and it worked very well. They could even remove the non-restricted/restricted distinction and just have long gun/handgun, and the handgun freeze crap needs to go to hell. Also pocket pistols should be relegalized again. A person that can be trusted with a glock 19 can be trusted with a glock 43.
