  • The thing is this is purely cultural conditioning. And every nation has to ask itself what it is willing to sacrifice. In European countries e.g. people sacrifice a few (read 10-20) unlucky victims amongst millions to people that are “too far gone” and exploit the rehabilitation system by being repeat offenders. The US sacrifices extremely large parts of their relative population (over 1 million prisoners) and minorities on very flimsy accounts and puts them away for good, sometimes with no reason. All to prevent repeat offenders and keep them locked away.

So you gotta ask yourself are you willing to completely ruin the lives of a million people (and have probably a greater death toll than a few dozen from that) and not have to trust anybody or are you willing to sacrifice a few innocent people on the grounds of failing to rehabilitate rare “uncurable villain” criminals?

It sucks in the way you understand and know because nothing else even exists. No one is interested in having to cater to their walled garden unless there’s money to be made. Meanwhile both Linux and Windows have many open source projects and hobbyists working on things. So you might get a mac driver for something you buy but most of the time macos is an afterthought at best in many hobby projects. Also lol mac gaming is a joke. Even Linux is getting better support now than macos in that regard since the Steamdeck.

  • Wether it is the end for brave or not we don’t know (judging by the core users of Brave and FF I highly doubt that it will just be the end of Brave or Firefox)

I’m fairly certain that it will split the web apart even more. Then we have the “totally safe and totally not monitored” adinfested buzzweb. We have the chinese walled garden web. And ofc the darkweb (e.g. tor and onion-sites). And the new addition will be the gray-web or something because “ya JusT cAn’T be SuRe” (completely disregarding that the current APIs are really just about all that’s needed. Imo someone running a website has in their own interest and in their own responsibility to secure their site and servers. WEI is a cheap stupid cop out at best for security concerns and “you WILL be looking at our fucking ads, you fucking data slave” at worst.

There’s really only 2 not 5. Most are just variants of the two:

    1. Singleton universe: time is linear, causality is set in stone, either through fix points (events that can’t be changed). Time travel will just create a loop but causality dictates that this will already have happened and you can’t change events.
    2. Multiverse: You can go back in time, but doing so will branch the timeline and create a different universe. This will not have impact on any causality as you’re an anomaly and you can do whatever you want (kill your grandpa, have a relationship with yourself etc.) and nothing will happen because you are in a parallel dimension and effectively can’t produce paradoxes.

Sometimes movies just ignore paradoxes or logical fallacies because it makes for better screen time. But really all time travel is one of the two.

    Primer is 1.
MCU is 2. (Endgame pretends to be 1 but really with the series Loki it’s clear it’s 2)
    Predestination is 1.
The series Dark is actually a weird mix of the two. First it’s 1. And then morphs into 2.
    Triangle is 1.
    Rick and Morty is 2.
