A big batch of hot toddy or mulled wine can be made ahead and then kept warm in a slow cooker for long evenings. I did that with hot toddy once, floated lemon slices in it and got lots of accolades from my family.

Every year, I travel the world collecting the best coffee beans I can find. I collect them and bring them back to my home in Minnesota, and use them as fuel to roast the beans I grow by myself on the roof of my building under grow lights.
If you’re into metal music, Sons of Texas is an underrated band. They’re no longer together, but they put out a couple of good albums.
