I’m not really seeing where the Democratic Party is doing anything to cater to women over men.
Can I find examples of extremely loud activists that are terminally online and that might be saying what I consider rather dumb and unhelpful and counterproductive? Of course. That doesn’t mean that is the direction the party is taking.

If you put the Southern notion of “liberty” at the center of your universe, it drives one crazy.
And you can see how Alito absolutely despises the Northern version of liberty. Absolutely hates it. Guy would have thrived as a witch finder general in the Middle Ages.
There used to be an article I’d link to that had a very long dissertation on the notion of Southern “liberty” vs. the Northern kind. Basically, the Southern kind of “liberty” considers things like property rights (and treating other people like property) of utmost concern, so much like what you are getting at here: the idea that others might have agency even if you don’t like what they are doing is not something they value, at all.
BTW, it’s very interesting to see how you’ll see this manifest. The right went on and on and on about “cities burned to the ground” and the damage to businesses as a supposed counter to what BLM was protesting, which was the murder of people. I don’t think they even realized what they were revealing about themselves.
I recently read The Unhumans, and IIRC, they made a big deal about how “liberals are coming to take your stuff”, too. Very instructive.

Favorite tactic: they will talk about how “there are extremes on both sides” and then go on to parrot talking points straight outta Bullshit Mountain.

OH…KAY…and so this guy that apparently left the DemocratIC Party is butthurt because he had a conversation about wildfires with one Democrat that he didn’t like. And apparently has adopted the terminology of the conservatives and the reactionary centrists.
And, oh, wow, you guys! He’s apparently woken up to the fact that we have two parties - one that is extremely right wing - to the point of being Nazi-adjacent now and another that is moderately right wing. Something most of us noticed by the time we left high school, or at least by the time we left university.
Cool cool. And what is he proposing to do as an alternative if we don’t vote for the “Democrat [sic] Party”? Staying home or voting for something like the Green Party are just not options for serious people.

I wonder if there is some confusion about the difference between school libraries and public libraries.
Obviously school libraries - especially at the K-6 level - should have different guidelines than public libraries.
