These companies are paying (now even more) out the ass for leases and property maintenance. It also harms adjacent businesses (like restaurants) placed specifically in complexes with other businesses. I’ve seen it in person, a mom and pop dumpling restaurant was booming pre-pandemic and now only does sustainable levels of revenue on the days that the nextdoor offices require people to come in.

On a micro/personal level I love wfh. If everyone was 80-100% wfh that might solve the insane housing cost crisis we’re in. Buy a home in montana and work for a company in northern virginia for example.

On a macro level I can see the concerns. WFH is the future but these businesses needed a period of time to phase into it. This particular economic climate is NOT conducive to a harmless transition in many cases.

  • It’s honestly fucking hilarious how hard Musk has Trumped this company.

People are still going to call it twitter and tweeting because it’s usable in a sentence. Calling it “x” is a thoroughbred-mouthbreather move. For example:

“Twitter tweeted an announcement that it would add disclaimers to tweets with misleading and false information regarding voter fraud”

“X x’d an announcement that it would add disclaimers to x’s that american elections are rigged and Trump and Musk are totally not the swamp they complain about”

    Blaze your glory!

At a certain point it’s not trolling, you’re just being a retard.

  • I already got permabanned from reddit for saying “cunt” so fuck that cunt website. I used to lament how terrible it was becoming but, now that I’ve removed myself from it, I’m just watching it crash and burn and enjoying every bit of it.

Soon the website will only be bots and shills and a few people who never say anything even slightly aggressive/controversial/opinionated/crass. A boring, sterile shell of its former self— just a safe space for advertisements.

    Eat shit and die reddit!

  • Part of the reason drug abuse is so all consuming is because 80% of an addict’s time is spent finding it while avoiding the law. I know this from experience as a recovering opiate/heroin addict. If you had let me go down to the corner store to buy clean dope legally, not only would I have about $20,000 more to my name (from scams/thieves/short bags), I legitimately believe I would have gotten clean much sooner.

If you’re just sitting in a room with your thoughts as opposed to constantly occupied with the chase, you’re more likely to have moments of lucidity to confront how stupid and useless your life has become. I never had those thoughts when I was distracted chasing it around 24/7, only once I figured out the DNM’s
