If you don’t believe me, look at any state that’s legalize marijuana: it seems literally half of all advertising is for weed. I’m not sure how you can be on lemmy or reddit and not recognize out-grouping from the left. Groups fundamentally define themselves by what they aren’t. And each group will strawman the other to strongarm their adherents into staying within the group.

Communist. Pink haired liberals. Nazis. Fascists. Meaningless boring out-group names that are repeated ad nauseum. But go. Indulge. Join a team and have fun. But don’t sacrifice real relationships for some politician. Be smarter than that.

Are you European? Do you think nothing matters? I have been around far too many Europeans that think that way and definitely do not look towards Europe for what I want America to be. Is it the desensitization of nudity? Probably not alone. But it’s one tiny piece of the nihilistic puzzle.
