After the war a shitload of Nazi high command were saved from execution at Nuremberg and placed in high ranking position in NATO and NASA and other western government institutions.

That is wild lmao thank you for this post. One of my favorite bits of etymology trivia is the phrase “comparing apples to oranges” which means a false or meaningless comparison. But in fact while we call them oranges now, they were once called apples of the orange tree and the orange tree was named before the word orange became the name of the color and then the fruit.

So in a round about way the phrase sort of takes on the opposite of its colloquial meaning.

Kinda the same can of worms if you really think about it. The nature of these platforms is that if they don’t have communists in moderation they will inevitably all turn into Nazi bars because liberals can’t even fight fascism in places they control because of their obsession with civility and “free marketplace of ideas” nonsense.
