If a theme is able to break core functionality then your theming system/guidelines needs to be fixed. And it to be more accessible to theme designers so these problems don’t occur in the first place.

For decades, outsourcing was happening to India and other east asian countries to cut costs. This happened even under low interest rate for loans.
Now that interests are higher the cost cutting and outsourcing only increase.
My own feelings are that we really should figure out if we want to work for such lowballers who cut us off like parasites at the first sign of trouble.
It would be prudent for workers to seek work in smaller, private companies. While they have the risk of going bust… they’re hopefully not laying off people in the same breath as announcing record growth.

Making a human go to prison for wiping out a family of 4 isn’t going to bring back the family of 4. So you’re just using deterrence to hopefully make drivers more cautious.
Yet, year after year… humans cause more deaths by negligence than tools can cause by failing.
The question is definitely “How much safer are they compared to human drivers”
It’s also much easier to prove that the system has those issues fixed compared to training a human hoping that their critical faculties are intact. Rigorous Software testing and mechanical testing are within legislative reach and can be made strict requirements.
Well it’s like this: a thief keeps knocking on people’s doors and says that their locks are not theft proof… and insists that it has always been so as the thief is also the locksmith.
It’s supposed to work like that. You’re naive to think it actually does work like that for a majority of companies nowadays.
So entire society is the villain. Their parents are villains, grandparents, friends, government, they themselves.
On the other hand if the number keeps going down it helps strengthen hope that it can go down to 0. When these things happen some apparatus gets left behind on how to do it a again for rogue actors inside the country too.
