Probably referring to the 6-month timed exclusivity on PC for EGS that Borderlands 3 went through.

Because Google is eating the monumental costs of hosting and delivering video content. The cost of maintaining client apps is negligible in comparison. YouTube is not going anywhere unless Google deems it so, or enshittifies it enough to drive users away.
A few too many superlatives in their pitches for my taste. Not a bad idea overall, though the bias in favor of Rust is strong. Did it really become the go-to (heh) memory safe programming language for performance ?
That is not dead which can eternal lie.

I switched over to Livemarks which has provided an almost drop-in replacement. Looking at the low number of users of this extension, it makes sense they would stop supporting it to reduce maintenance cost.
I have been using it for the last ~6 months and found it to be very useful and easy to use. Transferring stuff between Android phones, Windows 10 & 11 PCs and a Steam Deck (i.e. Linux PC) has been a breeze.
You can hear a more detailed explanation on VLC’s stance from the man himself (JB Kempf) in the FOSS pod S1E11 episode around 22:10.
Basically:
They just have to George Lucas that mid-credits scene with all the Kangs. It was pretty dumb anyway with all of them screaming hysterically. Now they have good cause to redo it 😏
HWR is the standout character for me with his easy-going-yet-menacing act. However my guess is we will not be seeing much more of him, given the actor’s alleged off-camera behavior, regardless of the outcome of his trial.
Be your own streaming service, and keep using the FireTV stick with the Jellyfin app.
It was underwhelming compared to season one, which upped the ante which each episode. It overly relies on a MacGuffin which is kind of boring. They certainly followed HWR’s words to the letter, “you can’t get to the end until you’ve been changed by the journey” and so on. Unfortunately, said journey was a lot less riveting than season one’s. It may be harsh but the five first episodes felt like filler to me.
The finale however, really picks up the pace and delivers a memorable and a worthy conclusion.
I would say it is more of a practical consideration. Private trackers generally enforce upload/download ratios. This ensures the health of the sharing pool stays good.
The new MW3 steam reviews are locked until its official release, as is always the case. People are venting where it is both possible and making some sense.
The author likely is aware of this and just likes to poke fun at angry CoD fans.
Debatable, likely because Google pretty much killed it.
Yeah well, some of the most popular games in the world like Fortnite or Valorant cannot be played on Linux. Hell even Roblox which used to work was broken for 6 months this year due to a new anticheat (until it got fixed).
As for Xbox Gamepass ? Streaming only. Using a Thrustmaster wheel ? Fortunately someone is working on that, but not everyone is willing or able to build and load their own drivers into the kernel.
Setting aside potential “hurr hurr don’t play these games” comments ; there is no way around using windows if you want access to all PC games, not just some PC games.
As far as gaming goes, no you really cannot. While a lot of progress has been done, notably thanks to Valve’s efforts with Proton, it’s still not ready for mainstream. Anti-cheat software incompatibility, peripherals drivers unavailability and overall jankiness are as many hurdles that make it interesting for tinkerers, but unrealistic for the general public.
No more RIF means I can’t use it on the shitter no more.
It’s the best of those so far: quite faithful to the original, but also constrained by live-action limits.
On one hand the over-the-top expressions and physicality (body types, wacky combat, etc) are missing. On the other the main actors are doing a pretty good job with their characters. It’s well above painful to watch, which is a low bar, but also where most live-action manga adaptations fit, IMO. Let’s say it’s almost good, but not quite.
The Epic Games Launcher is so far behind on features compared to Steam it’s not even funny. Epic chose not to try and compete with Steam on that front and to try and force users onto the platform with exclusivity deals and sweeten the deal with free games.
The one user-centric killer feature Epic has in their stack IMHO is the built-in multiplayer crossplay. Except it’s not even exclusive to their store ironically (you do need an Epic account for it though).
