“I need privacy, not because my actions are questionable, but because your judgement and intentions are.”
Agreed with you.
But not sure how they’d picture paint chipping off the wall in a way to connect the joke as quickly. Maybe they should have had the 3rd pane say “we used to drink straight out of the tap” and the last pane should’ve been them testing a sink.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah but now it opens up another mystery because these movies aren’t actually romantic.
Where do they live?
Did you not read the title of the post?
The original comment said “welcome to the majority of American living situations”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is too high for a pending authorization charge for a gasoline purchase?
1·26 days agoI could just as easily say the opposite from my experience and those around me. I get $1 charges all the time. Not all do, of course, but plenty do.
Haha yes, well explained. I’m familiar with this info (actually just finished reading Black Holes & Time Warps: Einstein’s Outrageous Legacy, by Kip Thorn which I highly recommend if you’re into this).
I meant event horizon, in this instance, but yes this comic isn’t meant to be accurate anyway (last pane). But to your original point - wouldn’t the black hole be a vacuum cleaner for all things within its event horizon?

I think this is the heart of it. Really depends on OPs delivery, but if this was at least communicated, I can’t see how they wouldn’t see where OP was coming from too.
It’s so hard in this consumerist society to tell people sometimes it’s a better gesture not to wastefully buy things just to say you cared.
Though you’re right, I assumed the point was that she got caught in the gravity well… Which does take her away without hope of return.
How was that an attempt at answering your question?

Didn’t expect Mamdani to win with 50%+ of the votes! wow
Yeah the funny and notable part about it is the fact that the English word isn’t said with a Spanish accent.

If Trump is the anti-christ, the test was too easy.
