Well it does mean I can select the strongest contenders too for the next round transplanting outdoors, they need to survive a brutal hardening too. So lots can still go wrong. Haha.
Bought a bunch of seeds, didn’t work out last year, so still trying to see what’ll work and taste good.
I’m one of the few on my block who garden though.

Dude, there’s also 5 more books as well. This is just barely scratching the surface of the universe of Dune.

More or less trying to find what works here, so a good variety.
Materials are regional. Woods easily accessible in Canada and USA, so it’s the predominate material.
Wood and plaster isn’t the most ideal material, but it serves it purpose for the expected longevity in f its purpose. It’s not gonna last as long as stone, but at the same time, does everything need to? People do like change as well.
They can build it stronger, but why waste the money? If a Honda works, why always buy a tank? Not everyone likes them as well.
2x4s are fine for up to 2 story houses where I live, so you either use 2x6 to get the r20, or a slightly better option. Still use 2x4, but clad it in rigid insulation to go from r12 to r20. This removes issues like thermal bridging and moisture penetration. But costs more and takes longer to do as well.
Yeah and the stuff’s all rated and graded anyways. New growth is perfectly fine to hold up a house, it’s what codes are based on. If a 2x4 isn’t enough, instead of speccing a higher grade that’s more expensive, just use 2x6.
It’s a total non issue, tradesmen know better than to spread this.

Does the nation benefit when there’s no actual benefits like health care for the citizens?

A short story anthology edited by Asimov called “Ghosts”. It’s the tenth rendition iirc and each of the Fantasy and Science Fiction anthos has its own theme. Just a random antho in my collection, I don’t have any others of this theme style though
Next is Star Wars XWing book 9, and I need to bug my brother to swap more books for the next batch of Star Wars. Jedi Academy Trilogy is next.

Time isn’t the only factor, water may not be available, if it’s a colder place, you need to keep it heated all day while you work. Dry bonded concrete works, if you’re replacing all the posts, it doesn’t sound like it’s only because a few failed, because you would just replace those ones. It’s not an inherently wrong job just because you don’t like it lol.
And auger makes the task moot anyways, and if it’s powder, a shovel works fine too.

For us it’s water access, and not every farmers fence needs concrete either. A 5 gallon bucket and a shovel is good enough for fence posts and other small jobs.

As someone who’s done the same, eh, you have the machine anyways, and maybe you live in a drier place? Because they more or less come out in a single chunk, or if not, soft enough that the auger won’t shirk at it. You have 50/50 chance of finding a boulder bigger than you’re auger hole anyways with any hole you try and make.
We have pretty clay forward soil, so you can even just back fill and tamp it with the dirt you took out. Frost fucks with everything anyways.
If it takes less than an hour you’re doing pretty good for an hourly rate.

10 years of my life summed up in a phrase. We didn’t only do concrete, but my crew was the best at it so we had any of the jobs that came up.

You don’t pour concrete, you place it.
It’s more or less about heist on the moon that goes predictably sideways in weird ways. I’ve noticed that his foreshadowing is a little too blunt though.

Pork shoulder and brisket on the smoker for family dinner tonight.

Ah man, I forgot to specify this is legends! My brother enjoyed the new trilogy, not as much as legends though.
The Thrawn trilogy was my first foray into the SW/Legends book universe, from there I’ve been reading all the legends books in chronological order. So this puts me around 70 or so. My brothers collected them all used and I’m borrowing them.

I’m currently reading book 8 of the Star Wars XWing series “Isards Revenge”. It takes place immediately after the Thrawn trilogy and brings back Isard who was supposed to have been dead. She took over the Emperors “role” after he was killed.
During the hiatus I read a few of the other XWing books and the entirety of the Remembrance of Earths Past (3body problem) by Cixin Liu. Wonderful read, and gave me a few new perspectives about the universe.
Im looking forward to The Captives War book 2 in a couple weeks! Same author(s) as The Expanse.
That’s an option, but not in my climate, by the time they root, they’re too far behind to fruit. I trim off a few branches and bury the suckers usually.
There was a couple cultivars that didn’t sprout, I’m still giving them some more time.
The issue here is the 90 day frost free days. We can get up to 120, but that’s doubtful, and peppers also stunt under 15c, so long before frost is an issue. So you need decent sized plants to throw out at the end of May. Anything that continues into Sept and still produces is bonus.
Most tomatoes also stunt under 10c, so without extra cover, your growing days for these plants are a couple months at most.
Edit not my province, but great info.
