I mean, it’s supposed to be.
Probably still won’t stop future humans from opening the vault, sadly.

We used to have a thriving rail and trolley system in the US; in most major cities especially. The automakers destroyed it. When they were caught, they got a slap-on-the-wrist fine and the nation went with the automaker’s suggestion of building the highway system up.
So yes, there is a fundamental reason we can’t. It’s the auto makers and the politicians they own.
As others have said, these are taken from Gary Larson’s daily website posts of old comics.
He is still drawing. Although retired, he recently got a tablet and has been experimenting with it, so he puts out new comics on his website every so often when the mood strikes him.
Wow. Even Trump thought they went too far. Damn.
And the CEO who brushed that assault off ‘suffered’ a ‘delayed promotion’. Poor thing. For saying that stuff about anyone, let alone a customer, he should have been fired, no golden parachute.
I think the doctor’s patients should have sued the airline too, since no doubt having their doctor pounded to a pulp caused them to miss their appointments.
Hahahahahaha
Go to any place Christian nutters have ‘missionaried’ in over in Africa and you can see them with the masks off.
The only reason that sort of shit doesn’t openly happen in most of Europe anymore is it isn’t a popular idea with secular people, and religious leaders don’t have enough power to force it down people’s throats - yet.
And that is why I love having AAA.

Because I’m pretty sure puberty blockers do literally none of that.
Oh, don’t worry; they definitely want to ban them for cis kids too (or at least girls). The one thing Conservatives the world over have in common is they like their women young.
Well, bubbles are full of air… maybe it’s just bubbles in the tub.
Then you’d just have the police knocking whenever you used an aftermarket part. They’ll just force everyone to agree to them enforcing those contracts when they buy the product. After all, the EULA is given to everyone, has terrible shit in it, but people sign it anyways because if you don’t, you don’t get to use the product.
The issue there is ‘middle of nowhere’. I remember in an episode of Top Gear they bought a house in Detroit for like $5000. But that was because it was in one of the worst parts of Detroit, which has virtually no jobs, no industry, and high crime rates.
Houses are cheap where there’s nowhere to work nearby. Land is cheap if you want a 5-8 hour drive to the nearest store. So if you want to buy a house, you need a remote job. And you won’t even get that probably in the middle of nowhere unless you have Starlink.
Source? From what I’ve heard, recent studies are showing the opposite.
I wonder if there’s a bit of not wanting to believe what people can accomplish if a massive number of us all teamed up to do something.
Because then they’d feel guilty for not getting up out of their armchair and going to support whatever cause they claim they’re supporting from the comfort of home.
This question has been answered multiple times in past posts, but basically they’re posting whatever the daily comic is for today on Larson’s website.
Yes, I know. I was referencing two different artists; one that did try to have their darker-skinned characters be that way even in black and white, vs one who didn’t because he was concerned about how the comic would read.
Yeah, Franklin from Peanuts tended to be a bit difficult to read facially sometimes because of the shading. Watterson once said that black and white shading could be tricky since the eye, being lazy, was drawn to empty white space.
So often in black and white comics they just forgo skin tones, especially in a more simplistic style like Larson’s. If you look at Watterson’s art, for example, his Sunday strips do show some darker kids, but in the daily black & whites they’re generally all drawn ‘white’.
Also keep in mind that Larson is white, and so him making fun of black people probably wouldn’t go over well.
Sequel to The Gold Cadillac just dropped
Boy, rules for thee but not for me. The wife can’t kill a woman she finds sleeping with her husband?
I see it as more a combination of self-delusion, coupled with other people getting hurt more (or them being told other people are being hurt more; it seems they don’t even need proof).
They really don’t want to admit that they are in the out-group, because it would shatter their whole self-image.
There was a book like that, but this illustration is from a calendar James Gurney did.
