I hope things turn around.
I hope things turn around.
The point is there are those who, like myself and others, who requested account deletions on kbin.social. And they have not been processed. Over a period of time those numbers add up. Then you have whole instances that moved (kbin.earth etc)
I’m not sure of the accuracy of the user count for kbin, because account deletion requests, at least for kbin.social, are not being processed. <edited>
I reread the article again. I did see anything mentioned about employees working 2nd jobs on company time, nor was it among the reasons they were fired.
This is why we can’t have nice things… s/

I sure hope so. I’m tired of the monopoly ISP’s have for internet service.
Heat tracking software? Damn, that’s creepy as hell.
Agreed!
This series was well done! Exceptional acting, special effects, use of Japanese/English dialog, show of Japanese traditions and filming locations brought the book to life in a way that far eclipsed the 1980 miniseries.
I agree with OP’s comments but the article, not so much. Like OP the Gen Xers I know that are close to retirement with their financial ducks in a row do not prefer to be in the office. Being irreplaceable means you have the leverage to successfully negotiate a WFH arrangement.
I don’t see the link to the article
No. It’s one of the things I like, that makes Lemmy different from Reddit. Why create a Reddit clone?
Yep, that’s an option.
LoL 🔥
If I read that article correctly, that was up to $10 to book use of the nearest bathroom?? I’m sorry, when nature calls, I can’t see people trying to reserve a time slot, like you would a hair salon.
Very well said!
I agree. That said, I’d like to see Amazon make Prime Video ad free for those already paying $140/yr for Prime. To me that would make the Prime membership extremely attractive for customers. But it doesn’t look like Amazon really gives a shit about that. This is about maximizing revenue and profit. Full stop.
I sure am. Are you?
Who could have foreseen this? s/
