Very sad indeed (and needless) Father dies after being handcuffed, pinned to floor by Jasper County deputies during seizure: family.
They should be there to “Serve and Protect” not “respect my authority!”
I’ve been trying to remember all the little folks since I’ve become so fabulously wealthy, but it just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. /s
I’ll let them know that (in case it ever becomes relevant).
They are a wonderful partner and I would never leave them for something so minor. It’s just a thing I can’t quite wrap my head around - I’m sure I have things about myself that they don’t get either. It’s not a big deal to either of us.
That’s one way to keep your cool.
Tried that many times (to no avail).
We are both university grads and know how math works. They just can’t get past the psychological barrier of “the bill will be higher when we check out”.
Can’t get my partner to do this. They are too worried about “saving money/we don’t need it (now)”. For heavens sake, I’m not saying buy a spare house; just pick up an extra tube of toothpaste!
While there may be “No stupid questions”, there are many, many “Stupid answers”.
What this NCO did was not dumb; it was calculated and intentional violations of multiple rules and regulations they (and the others involved) knew very well. Then they tried to cover it up when people started asking questions.
Absolutely no sympathy for them in my book. These are supposed to be the leaders other enlisted look to emulate.
You don’t want to know others memories; including those of your ancestors. Not photographically at least.

Because an untested backup is worse than no backup.
I’ve worked at the same site for almost 20 years. We’ve never actually cut over to our COOP (Continuity Of Operations Plan) site in all that time. Not once - not even partially.
I’ve recommended top management go to the data center, yank out the plugs and say “Let’s see how it goes!” (after verifying plans are up to date and ready to go). No one is the least bit interested in doing anything like that.
Can’t fire him; you have to keep the best and the brightest on your team! /s
Yeah, stole them; that’s what happened here. They obviously didn’t drive them away. /s
Wait, they put underwear on it?
I’ll see myself out.
Try this: DSL Linux
Would Sprit Halloween really take a chance on something that shabby?
I think not.
I once abused an SMTP relay (my own) by emailing Novell a 400+ MB memory dump. Their FTP site kept timing out.
After all that, and them swearing they had to have it, the OS team said “Nope, we’re not going to look at it”. Guess how I feel about Novell after that?
This was in the mid-90’s.
In historic times, people knew horses were land animals. So, I expect we will see this invention in about two more weeks.
