  • I think elite schools are just first in line in terms of being political betrayers of the actual substantive left. The interests of those schools and the families that tend to be able to afford to send their children then just tend to be aligned with the interests of capital as a whole.

I forget whether it was the Koch brothers or other fracking billionaires, who provided the seed money for Ben Shapiro to set up The Daily wire, but no doubt those sorts of people are financially tied to him being their mouthpiece.

Money talks, and this is all part of why we live in a two party system, even though the majority seems like left leaning liberals… Because the free market right have a greater level of class interests with the wealthy, and so can afford greater platforms in culture and in researching how to manipulate the political theatre of opinion.

Why be a dick about it when you can just ignore them. Seems like they’re just trying to communicate in a way that’s generally experienced as nice.

Like I get it, it’s easy to get annoyed at people trying to “make” you participate in an imaginary and kinda lame social behaviour… But like, being a dick on purpose probably does you more damage than them

No one likes someone whose rude for the sake of being rude, or an edgelord, even being a contrarian just for the sake of it isn’t the greatest characteristic.

Better to find a stable calm attitude that doesn’t require that… And if it’s a way to blow off steam, better to find ways that are more in your own domain of control, rather than having it controlled by an external trigger.

Something to give thought to next time your driving jeep anyways.

  • I predict a world where it’s too hot for most to work, air-conditioning becoming mandatory everywhere, a slowing of development in terms of properties being built. The search for automation as a response. Cooling suits being widely used. The majority of the world’s crops failing. Food stipends being delivered on specialised trucks to each home… Perhaps by a division of the military… People dying on mass in the third world and quietly in their rooms in the first. Rolling black outs become waves of death. Experts dying on the job trying to fix them. Skinny bodies fighting for life, or fighting each other for food. Death squads who think killing is the answer. A daily announcement of what percentage of the country is on fire… But we’ll probably mostly be dying of thirst by then. Maybe it won’t be so bad.

  • It’s because the male ones believe their courses have informed them, and turned them into “knowledge experts” who know better than you. Where as female case managers believe their courses have made them better at connecting people to their resources and practices.

In short, whether conscious or not, the courses they do have different gendered outlooks and effects of participants.

One group becomes entitled ro superiority, and the others becomes a more connected listener.

But it might also be because men lack the lived experience most compatible with your own, and it’s possible they’re better at providing for male clients.

…but really I think women are just likely better at the job, and more likely to be sensitive to the needs of others in a more consistent and accurate manner.
