…are we about to kiss?
…are we about to kiss?
As @Zagorath mentioned, its a pokemon thing. Those happened to be the current gen game when I was of the age of interest in them.
That’s splendid, though I’ll continue to use the web interface of beehaw honestly.
I am overjoyed to hear that we’ll be staying in the fediverse and I can stay with beehaw.
Generation 4, Diamond was my first and my best friend had Pearl
Serious answer, I’m on the border between millennial and gen z
To be clear we aren’t complaining about the existence of the gendered language. We are complaining that the maintainer has repeatedly rejected friendly contributions which would fix the gendered language, under the premise that it is ToO pOLItIcAl, instead of just merging the very obvious improvement and moving on with life.
CONSTANT slights or worse endured every day for most of their lives for some perspective.
This is part of those constant slights. How can you simultaneously gesture toward the issue at hand and say that its not worth working on?
Tinned cream of mushroom soup. Used to love it as a cheap way to make a mushroom pasta or whatever when I was at uni and on a student budget. One day the texture just did not play right with me and now I often physically gag when I think about it.
No cap sigma
I’m aware, that’s why I used the word, because it was the one that I meant - I have no doubt that there are people “boycotting” the show (ie, lowering the viewer count) as some sort of protest against the woke mind virus. Or I suppose, just not watching it because they can’t stomach watching it because of the woke mind virus taking hold.
I’m sure that the anti-trans (and anti-lgbtq+ for that matter) rhetoric currently spewing across the US and much of Europe has nothing to do with the poor ratings
Anti plastic propaganda is a hilarious sentiment. I’m sure it exists, but we aren’t meant to have plastic in our testicles.
Being fat and sedentary is also a problem, but two (or more) problems can exist and all require attention.
Its incredibly difficult to join beehaw without knowing what its about. When you apply to join they explain what it is and ensure that you’re actually, like, on board with the mission. I can understand the sentiment of users finding themselves underwhelmed and leaving if they don’t understand why.
As someone with accounts on other instances, I’ve definitely encountered far more bigotry and bad faith arguments off-beehaw than on-beehaw. For some people, which would appear to include you, encountering the asshole and blocking and moving on is sufficient, and that’s fine and awesome for them. But for others who may be part of marginalised communities or particularly vulnerable, the bubble of safety and curation that beehaw offers is so tremendously valuable.
Beehaw has defederated from instances they felt were not meeting a minimum standard of moderation and healthy, good faith discussion. Beehaw’s whole shtick is to maintain a platform where its users can be(e) kind and expect others to behave similarly.
It is genuinely baffling to me how people can see beehaw curating their instance this way and go “feewings” and “beehaw bad”.
Absolutely, but its well worth the cost. You improve your own life and the lives of all of the people you interact with since you’re not projecting your trauma or having them bear the weight of your mental ill health as much.
It isn’t a cost that everyone can afford and that’s okay, but it should be high on pretty much everybody’s list of “things to get”.
This is a thread about things people bought. Money is implied.
Ah glad to hear it!
