When I was the best man, I worked on my speech for like a month, kept it to like three minutes, had nothing to drink beforehand, and shortened it on the fly to match the maid of honor’s.

It’s astounding to me that people almost always do something other than maximum effort for people that care for and trust them enough to make them a best man or maid of honor.

I would prefer he dies surrounded by the people he loves doing the thing he loves to do the most.

That might feel great for about four seconds. I imagine a boss that would get a kick out of scolding you in front of everyone would jump at the chance to fire you in front of everyone.

At some point in the third quarter, I stopped paying attention and mentally prepared for the bummer conversation with my brother in law today.

Instead, I got a call from him later in the evening and before I could finish the word “hello” he was already yelling “WE DID IT”

Tough to imagine a bigger comeback against such a huge rival at home in the playoffs like that.

I usually don’t scope someone’s history because of one bad comment, but yeesh. You’ve been here for one day and it’s just about 100% bad.
