My mom was still paying for dial-up AOL in 2016. She had been paying them $20 a month for over a decade while having high-speed internet that she was also paying for.

When I asked her why she didn’t cancel it, she said she would lose her email.

So I canceled it because AOL provides free email because they make money off of the ads.

Reddit sold whatever soul it may have had to the devil, as does every company that goes public.

It’s literally taking our words and our conversations and using them to train an inhuman computer system to sound more human.

And we are not allowed to say no.

It doesn’t get more devilish than that on the internet.

And of course, I deleted my account when this whole debacle happened, but I’m sure they’re still taking all of my old comments and selling them to any person with a dollar.

They’ve made it incredibly clear that anything you post on their platform is theirs, and if they do something you don’t like you can go fuck yourself.

You should be in a union if you work for any publicly traded company.

A company that is publicly traded, IE it has stocks on the stock market, has every incentive to underpay every single employee they have and is only vulnerable to collective action.

If you’re smart enough to know all of the reasons why you’re not a good leader, you should go be a leader and then work on your problems in the process.

The outcome would be better for everyone if we had self-aware leaders who are working on their flaws instead of the p-noid zombie self-serving self-gratifying leaders that we currently have.

Sounds like there’s a lot of money to be made for finding ways to ensure that your body does not attack the stem cells that are generated from your own body.

It’s only illegal in some places. And even that is kind of weak. There are stem cell clinics you can go to in almost every large metropolis in America if you have the money.

I’ll take it into consideration but like I’ve said I’ve dated a few people and some of those people have had hobbies and their shit together for the most part but the ones that did not have a full-time job to support their hobbies on top of that have always been concerningly quick to start relying on me to financially support their hobbies, which is its own issue.

I think if I were to bend that rule again that person’s hobbies would have to be closely interlinked with my hobbies so that the financial requirements would not increase.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a brilliant film. As someone who quickly tires of being exposed to repetitive information, this movie is easily a once a year re-watch for me.

There’s definitely a part of me that blames myself for this.

At the same time though I feel like Tim and Kat have to share some of the blame.

We were all late teens early 20s at this point. This was not some 6th grade shenanigans. Being told that the two of you look good together and obviously like each other shouldn’t be the end of the relationship.

If you don’t mind subtitles and you’re okay for tucking in for a 40-hour marathon, I can highly recommend the Taiwanese drama series “Nirvana in fire”

It’s a beautiful period piece with elaborate sets and wuxia fighting and political intrigue and drama upon drama upon drama as a man who was wronged wreaks his revenge against the royals who wronged him.

It won many awards but because it’s in Mandarin it never made it over to the states, it’s probably one of the best television shows I have ever seen in my entire life.

Highly recommend that you go in to watching Tucker and Dale versus evil without looking up any information on the movie. Watching it blind is the best way because the less you know about it the more it will entertain you.
