It’s possible but iirc any imperfection in the surface will prevent this.

83·11 days agoCasting support is still available on older Chromecast devices or TVs that support Google Cast natively, according to Netflix’s support page, but only for subscribers on pricier ad-free plans, which start from $17.99 per month. Netflix users with an ad-supported subscription ($7.99 per month) will be unable to cast from their phones even if they own legacy Chromecast devices.

Canada@lemmy.ca•[Reminder] Did you buy packaged bread from Loblaws between 2001 and 2021? Don't forget to claim compensation after the long awaited national settlement (paid via etransfer, no receipts required)
9·13 days agoDid you buy bread products in the twenty year period from Loblaws? That should be easier to answer. It’s not like they’re asking for you to have kept paperwork.
If you bought groceries from any of their stores there’s a good chance you did.

14·13 days agoCanada is run by oligopolies and all the major grocery stores colluded for years.
While the price-fixing allegations targeted other major grocers, including Sobeys, Walmart, Giant Tiger and Metro, only Loblaw and its parent company have agreed to a settlement. The others have denied the allegations.
Edit: I’m sure they still do, but they’ll be more careful with bread.

8·14 days agoWe need to form a Sync support group…
That’s an interesting idea…
I’m trying not to be pessimistic but all I can think is that or they’re going to take a greater portion of royalties from the artists who already have a very small percentage.
And then they’ll go and train their AI models on it for free and without permission either way.
Despite going through being acquired a couple times themself, for now I still have to recommend Bandcamp. But I’d love to learn about freer alternatives that also support artists.
I worry a lot of tracks, especially from smaller artists, are going to be removed.
This is truly devastating news. Major labels are going to heavily abuse direct access to this database.
I regret ever contributing.

It seems so
