Only because our “representatives” let them write the law entirely. Imagine if Congress wasn’t filled to the brim with 80 year old fundraisers…

Hey man, under Biden we defeated Medicare. Mission Accomplished.
I’m With Stupid ^^
Uh-oh!
This was my first thought. “Ironing?! Ain’t nobody got time for that!” It would probably be nice though.
Yeah, this is why it’s time we have an honest conversation to seriously consider a 24 hour work week.
Productivity has gone up consistently since the 70s while wages have stagnated. It’s going up at an even faster rate now with AI assistant tooling. Workers deserve to enjoy some of the rewards from that increased output, and I can’t think of a better way than letting them enjoy life more outside of work.
Hmm, can’t decide if that’s better or worse.
Is it “gifted” to them, or are they paying taxpayer dollars to purchase these war machines? When they’re turning our local communities into war zones, some of us might even question whether we should reduce their funding significantly if this is what they’re squandering our money on.
Watch them cower inside of this vehicle, idling in the parking lot as a school shooter empties one magazine after another.
Wish we had a party who gave a shit in order to vote for this, and that it were a much bigger plank of their platform. It’s a disgrace that anyone is unhoused in the richest nation on Earth.
I can’t even begin to describe how much more I would prefer we do this, than to continue fattening the wallets of boomers who own multiple homes and only live in one of them. We literally don’t invest in building new housing in order to maintain this status quo, and it’s absurd.
What about “the economy is actually doing great Jack!” ?
Exactly this. It just boils down to manufacturing consent for the other guy’s terrible policies, and results in hopelessness leading to voter apathy. Braindead strategy with 0 concept of leadership.

There’s an old adage in computing which really applies here:
Garbage in, garbage out.
Good for your teeth too!
😆
I’m in favor of “recall ‘em all”, this rule change could be just the ticket!
Yes, but agree with most of the other comments here. It should be lowered to 65-67 instead.

I’m a pop_os enjoyer, the window manager is great especially on a small laptop screen. Also have it running in the living room on a media pc (streaming, light gaming, music etc) and it’s been fantastic for that application as well. Excited for the upcoming switch to cosmicDE, think that will be chef kiss for me.
Same thought here. I know of the 2, and heard 10 more have come forward after the second guy died of mrsa. Is this about one of those 10?…
Regardless, the power and influence amassed by these multinational corporations is incredibly wrong. How do we even begin to pump the brakes on that?
This was made perfectly clear in 2016 when Hillary stole the nom by colluding with Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.
If people haven’t caught on by now, they haven’t been paying attention. Or are just willfully ignorant.
