Sounds about right for HP.
Sounds about right for HP.
They really only like him because he’s normalizing being publicly racist. None of his followers can list any of his “accomplishments” when he was president.
Maybe, but the people of the country are not the priority. If we were the priority, Republicans wouldn’t constantly try to defund social programs like social security and welfare. The people would have more to help them, corporations would be taxed more and the people (namely the middle and lower classes) would be taxed less. The country doesn’t serve us, like it should. The country serves the corporations and military.
The government would just put that money into defense spending.
He’s just butthurt that he can’t get xAI off the ground.
Tell me about gaming on Linux. Most if my gaming is via Steam and I have a Steamdeck which I know runs on a flavor of Linux so it can be done. Is it fair to say that any game that runs on the Steam runs on Steam Linux?
I just got a new prebuilt with Windows 11 Pro and I’ve been curious about Linux for the past few months. I know the variations have gotten better over the years but haven’t done too much research into it. I hear Mint and Arch quite a bit.
Not a programmer by any means (haven’t done any since college) but I’ve asked it for help in writing Jira queries or Excel mess and it’s been pretty solid with that stuff.
I think it’s more these companies invested millions into either building the offices or renting them (and can’t get out of the lease) so to make it worth while they’re having people come back.
One of my offices moved to a larger building across the street because there wasn’t enough room for FTEs and contractors to come in 3 days a week. The larger building still isn’t large enough even for just FTEs so they rented a floor of another building and are making contractors go to that building 3 days a week. They’re going to an office to still be remote lol. Talk about stupidity.
He just laid off the entire supercharger team and I think the car design team lol.
It’s about making money for executives and shitting on the employees that do the actual work.
I was impacted and it sucked. Having no cell service for 8-9 hours is not fun. Can’t make or receive calls or texts, every app that requires or uses an internet connection (like Waze) was impacted. Whole Waze worked with directions using offline maps and GPS, you don’t fet stuff like traffic conditions and rerouting.
But when you only have a cell phone and limited wifi resources at the office, it’s a major pain in the butt. And I didn’t report so that 70k could’ve been a conservative number of people that reported.
This one really needed Yakety Sax.
Yeah, I get the socializing aspect and it hasn’t been bad coming in. I’ve been wfh for the past like 4 years so it’s nice to put on actual clothes instead of wearing joggers and t-shirts every day lol. You’re lucky you’re only required to come in one day a week. We have to come in 3 days (eventually we’ll be monitored to make sure we come in 3 days) but at least we can pick the 3 days every week.
On the plus side, we have assigned cubes (no hotel cubes thankfully!) and since I was part of the first small group to come in, I was able to change cubes.
However, I still think it’s BS that companies are forcing the back to work crap with such strict boundaries.
I had to start going back to the office today. I’ll eventually split time between two buildings, but my main office is practically empty. Been here 3 days in a row, and I’m the only one in my area that stayed the entire day. The first day 4 of 5 other people left at lunch. The last person left about 4:15pm.
Yestersay I was by myself until about 10am and that person left at 4. I’m here by myself today and I don’t suspect anyone will show up late.
On the other side of the floor where the breakroom is, there’s maybe been 7 people total across the 3 days I’ve been here lol.
ATM machine
Or did his deepfake say this?
Because he doesn’t care. He’s looking out for himself.
“Hey Googs, you have too many employees and that’s cutting in my investments. Shitcan 150,000 so my investments go up and I make more billions kthxbye”
I’ve had a Brother MFC-9330CDW for a long time and it’s been great. No driver updates in like 5 years but don’t really need updates when everything works. I moved away from buying official Brother toner several years and buy a budget brand off Amazon. Basically 4 toner carts for less than the price of one official Brother cart.
Like Putin doesn’t rig his elections in his favor? Lol
Remember when Trump said he would get rid of the ACA and they had a plan to replace it? But he never had a plan and eventually said “who knew healthcare was so complicated?” (Everybody knew it was complicated.) This is the exact same thing.
