Lemmy is confusing enough for people who are not used to its idea. Everybody new and with FOMO immediately went for the bigger instances.

Nope. Not really. I speak two local languages for example and none of them are in Soundcloud, it was never popular in my region.
Personally, some of the particular covers sang by Youtubers or certain compilations remind me of specific memories back when I was younger.
Also there’s a lot of songs that are not available anywhere else
I wish my city works like this. But noooo our local government uses FACEBOOK. ONLY. Twitter is still the lesser of two evils
My entire fandoms are there. Also twitter is ok if you follow the right people, you don’t depend on the trending list and you dgaf about follower count.
The scifi fantasy community still had a ton of these active till now.
My mom watched One Piece with me when I was a kid (she had no choice), and will catch constant reruns of it on TV through the years so she’s basically familiar with it. She watched the Live Action in one day lol, she enjoyed it way more than she expected (she usually watch a show for days) so I guess that’s a good indication.
would be nice but until I get my friends and servers to move to something else
I felt like this was how WhatsApp still lives on lol, and outside my in real life friends, the Discord communities I’m active in won’t be moving anywhere either
Why is it like that? It’s so bizarre
I’m using this and I live in Asia. I can confirm it’s the best from them all.
Believe in Nike’s “Just Do It” motto. Used to do detailed plans for personal projects but they tend to eventually be forgotten or procrastinated and I end up not doing anything at all. Last month, I force myself to actually DO something. I stopped researching about which reading apps to use, which habit apps to install, or which ereader brand is best, etc and just bought a the cheapest secondhand Samsung tablet (literally on Android 5 lol) I could find and I started reading the ebooks I’ve been ignoring for years.
Now I’m finally consistent with my reading habit, I lost it when I started working many years ago, so this was a great improvement.
The one true constant for me is 4chan 😅
You: WHY DO PEOPLE…
Me: (Answering your question) PERSONALLY…
You: I’m not talking about YOU, your experience is irrelevant
What a goddamn fucking clown 🤣 I swear you need to grow some braincells next time you encounter an opinion that’s contrary to yours.
