This is so exciting - there is a big potential here, if we are careful and cautious.
I think the computer scientist they interview in the article hits the nail on the head with his statement:

AI technologies as an extension of human ability is going to revolutionise a lot of professional fields. But, we need to approach the technology the right way! We need to start early, and have digital literacy as a focus area in schools.
I can’t figure out, why you would ever accept such an low offer. $100 for something worth potentially more sounds ridiculous. How much did he need the money? 😅

Why? I am not condoning the 90% decision - but, why not start figuring out ways to implement and improve whatever you are working with? There are alt to figure out about AI and what to use it for - ant not to use it for. But total abstinence it’s like choosing not to use the internet to search for knowledge that could be useful for your business or work.
We should be learning - not ignoring.
