  • “I have a colleague with two kids, who’s actually not unhappy about something being done to try to prevent children from accessing the internet unfiltered.”

You know I really hate this kind of bullshit. I question if it’s a psyop at this point. When I was in school, they had this censorship thing, it was a stupid fucking dog as their logo, very fitting with the current news. I taught my friends how to bypass it. This was grade school. And I was teaching them how to use proxies, we we’re just browsing the net so ignore security. Had the school IT call us out on this lol. I mean I started with using a 64 MB flash drive running whatever was the smallest linux version to realizing I could just run TOR off that flash drive.

  • I’ve had plans to convert whatever car I have for like 15 years–and yes I’ve done my research, my friend helped me and he has a doctorates in electrical engineering so it’s more involved. I have a Jeep wrangler for that reason. The potential solutions for conversion are crazy now. At this point it’s cost. So the counter to your statement, if you manually convert you end up with a RC car instead of a surveillance system. Tech has advanced so fast that, you can ask why did I hesitate? Because of simple things like using lead acid batteries got quickly overtaken by lithium variations. Hybrid combinations are solutions as well. And heh… I’ll give you a kek for the $5 a gallon, it’s a bit more than that now.

  • The name was a reference to the lettuce thing. I’ve had doctors ignore crucial details. I do have some medical training, just enough to help until someone better arrives. Last time I was a hospital, me needing a cpap machine was ignored and I had to tell the, what assumed, nurse in training how to set up my IV… after they fucked it up 4 times.

  • I was joking a bit but I think they’re great in more than one way. It’s like once you start putting together MG or higher then it’s not just a toy anymore, especially if you start doing the modifications or lights. It helped me with mobility when I broke a couple fingers last year. The funny thing about gunpla is I was shopping in Akihabara and there were Japanese businessmen buying them, and I mean with grey hair. Even the clerk, who also was older, was like ‘oh Gundam’ heh

Next time I go, I will get as many special editions as possible.
