Yup, my android tablet is the only device I own (unless you count my smart tv) where I don’t use Firefox. At least there’s kiwi so you can have a tablet interface and still be able to install addons

I should probably post this as an issue on github but pressing the “Enable using Shizuku” doesn’t seem to do anything whatsoever - am I supposed to get some kind of UI feedback? Shizuku is running, but even after pressing the button it still shows that there are 0 links that are opened in Lemmy redirect
I really want an android tablet with lineageos support for watching movies and browsing the web. But I have been spoiled by my OLED TV so I think LCD just won’t cut it. Also, I would ideally want a 120hz display so that movies can be played back without 3:2 pulldown. I don’t believe such a device exists ATM?
It’s an app whose source code you can access so it is open source and it only stores your data locally without communicating with any servers so it is private.
I think two out of those believes stem from survivorship bias. You think of old music and consumer products as superior because the only ones that “survived” are the good ones. No one remembers bad music from 50 years ago, and for every old thermos flask/blender/knife that you see around there are dozens that broke years ago.
That sounds like unnecessary effort when there is a perfectly serviceable audiobook version to listen to!
