I just recently read the first Expanse (Leviathan Awakens) and am reading Hyperion. Depends on what you are in a mood for. Expanse is more action-packed and easier to follow. Hyperion is higher up there, takes time to digest.
Not as high as reading Annihilation
Thanks for a detailed response. Just started reading the Fall of Hyperion
I knew I was in the right place
I know what you’re saying. The New Moon (Luna) was like that for me. Did not finish
Thanks for the warning
Me too, let’s see who finishes first lol)
it was definitely hard to get into it, what with all the world-building and weird terms. but it is enjoyable after you get over the hump
may I ask why? it didn’t meet your expectations?
there definitely were slow moments. I think Lamia’s tale was the most action-packed of all
ok, I might give the second book a try. I can’t imagine the first two books being one gigantic book. The first one was already pretty long
Ok, I might give it a try.
Does the next book at least explain what happened to the Templar?
Yeah, I got that and I liked the different tones and variety of each individual tale. I guess I liked some tales more than others, but regardless I enjoyed the creativity of each individual tale
No just Hyperion
I remember seeing this on Reddit a while ago. Doesn’t make it less fun, of course. Just saying.
Saw it a few years ago and it gave me strong Hitchcock vibes. Agree that watching Sheen in a serious movie was a little weird, but the movie was decent
I hate Ad Astra so much. I was so hyped for it and then almost left the theater when we were watching it.
Gravity is not too terrible. Rewatched it recently. It’s a fun watch the first time but it’s too shallow for subsequent views.
Thank you so much for the detailed reply!
Or the only person who phrases your issue this way) so many times I’ve found out that I just state my problem in an unusual way
