The solution is to base it upon the user session timer.

Mine told me that I should be a plumber. I took it after graduating college with a degree in Data Science. I kind of wish I did the plumbing thing considering the money they rake in. Problem is that I don’t like crawling in attics and under houses.
My DoorDasher picked up my order the other day and went to a mall parking lot and sat there for an hour until the order was cancelled since DD couldn’t get ahold of them. They presumably ate it. They should be deactivated. Bad workers shouldn’t get extra protections.
Yet in that time, they didn’t figure out how to build spaceships. Two legs seems optimal for getting through tight spaces. Being able to sweat allows us to run for hours and exhaust our prey. Hands with opposable thumbs make is able to build and wield anything. Our brain folds make it so we can plan and recall. Our brains are actually really good at locational memory, which is less relevant with GPS, but can be hacked for massive memorization abilities. Sharks sense a mass of life that smells fishy and eat it. It matters how you define success. Is it just survival in place or advancing science, exploration, the arts, etc.?
Oxygen is also a catalyst for life. It’s kind of like a drug for us. It’s good and bad at the same time. It kind of burns the wick of life. It helps us product energy and destroy old cells. It is thought to be something that we would find in abundance on any planet with complex life.
In theory, the reason that our evolution won was because it is a very effective design pattern. It is possible that aliens might come from a planet with stronger or weaker gravity, so could have differing musculoskeletal structure, however the humanoid form would still provide the correct support. Perhaps, in lower gravity, our heads might have been bigger light some depictions of Greys.
We have been working on a first contact protocol for ages and would be certain to quickly establish a means of communication. I highly recommend watching the movie Arrival, which goes through this at great detail and definitely pokes at the idea that aliens might perceive different dimensions.
I think that might be racist. Could be wrong, but maybe.
They should have a designated queue area, but still maintain those sitting at the bar. Alternate, one order for the seated, one for the queue. If you want to get fancy, replace the queue area with a cubby system and an app. Order from the app, pay, and get a QR code and a cubby number when your drink is ready. QR unlocked your drink cubby. The cubbies can be see through. I should invent this.
I use Memmy and have a porn account and a non-porn account. On the non-porn account, I block any porn communities that show up in the All feed and eventually I stop seeing them.
I hope it succeeds though. It is exciting to be at the start of humanity becoming a spacefaring race. The idea that we might be able to see the Earth from space in our lifetime is amazing. I think people that venture into the unknown are inspiring. It’s great that we are pushing the boundaries of what humans can achieve. Sure, there are problems on Earth, but solving space problems makes it seem like figuring out our differences should be trivial given what we can achieve. Damn this is some good weed.
Watchung Reservation by the Trailside and Science Center. Nice!
I like the Star Wars character.
Go out and do things then. That’s why I started traveling more. I go on scuba adventures and eat lots of good food. You gotta work hard to play hard.
EDIT: To clarify, I work hard to play hard. As in, I worked my way up the corporate ladder and now have staff that I manage. I still have to write code and am in meetings all day. I did not get the job from family connections and found it through going out and networking with people. I still have 90k in student loans from my MBA, but make too much money to get any handouts, which is honestly kind of annoying since I’ve been paying them off for years at the government’s predatory rates. Refinanced only recently when interest rates tanked during the pandemic. I am what you would call a Geriatric Millennial or a Xennial as I was born in the early 80’s. I don’t come from exceptional wealth, but had a good upbringing. I think people need to stop complaining victimhood, as I’m forced to do with the loans stupidity and own their situation. Sure, it sounds like a Boomer thing to say, but what choice do we have. There is plenty of room to hustle and get ahead. Yeah, I get to do cool activities and travel, but I’m also choosing not to have kids. It’s definitely a game of figuring out what your values are. The system is never going to be perfect, so you might as well figure out how to make it work for you instead of being little bitches.
We put hamster dance on all the computer lab computers and cranked up the volume to max then locked the door from the inside using a trick, so that they would need to get the facilities people to get in. It was really dumb.
In the lead developer’s GitHub, he sympathizes with Marxism including those that committed atrocities.. He apparently censors lemmy.ml with this in mind. Since it is open source though, I can trust that other instances might be better maintained. There is no way I’ll use any personal information in my signup because this all probably is going to China.
The devs hold extreme political views. They are on board with the Tiananmen Square massacre being necessary and shit like that. Like this post says though, there are plenty of instances that are totally run by normal people. Additionally, the Lemmy server code is open source, so that helps to ensure that it isn’t doing anything nefarious behind-the-scenes.
Not really. In order to find the wave function you need to measure both particles and compare both sets of superposition info to know that the particles were entangled. The information sharing between Alice and Bob would still have to be through standard means.
